Our Mission and Vision
Root and Bloom Institute provides a space for community development and for training and innovation in the healing arts. We support ethical and transformational practices for somatic and expanded states therapy among those who have the passion and maturity to become skilled practitioners.
We hold a collective vision to transform trauma and separation into embodied wisdom and deep connection.
Healing and Transformation
Training Practitioners in Healing and Transformation Arts
We believe that somatic healing arts and spiritual practice, particularly in use with psychedelic therapy, are powerful in facilitating human transformation and healing. We experience these modalities as effective when held within the expansiveness of spirit and mystery, community support and nature connection. At Root and Bloom Institute, we are eclectic in our partners and approaches to holistic healing, honoring the wisdom that has come from grass roots practices and cultural and spiritual traditions.

The Space
Root and Bloom Institute is 14,000 square feet of healing and training space for somatic and expanded states therapy and Dharma practices. The building, formerly known as Rudramandir in Berkeley, California, has over two decades of use as a healing space, somatic training ground, and a spiritual temple.
The building is currently under reconstruction and will be available for use by Summer 2025 to value-aligned organizations, including a beautiful Main Hall (accommodating up to 100 people), two large group rooms, smaller group rooms, individual treatment rooms and potential for shared office space.
